St Peter’s School - Pavilion Access Upgrade

St Peter’s School - Pavilion Access Upgrade

The Challenge

St Peter’s School required a secure access solution for their new sports pavilion that could protect students and staff without adding unnecessary complexity. The existing setup relied on manual locks, offering no visibility or control over who was accessing the building. In a modern school environment, this limited oversight presented a clear safeguarding and compliance challenge.

The Solution

DJ Byers designed and installed a fully integrated access control system, combining keypad and proximity entry to provide secure, controlled access for authorised users. A touch-free exit system was implemented to ensure safe and efficient exit, supporting smooth daily use. In addition, a public address speaker system was installed, enabling staff to communicate clearly across the site and respond quickly when required. Each element was selected to work seamlessly within the school environment, balancing security with ease of use.

The Result

The pavilion now benefits from controlled, visible access that supports safeguarding and day-to-day operations. Staff have clear oversight of who can access the building and when, while students and visitors move through defined, unobtrusive entry points. The result is a solution that strengthens security, supports compliance, and integrates naturally into the wider site, delivering confidence without disruption.
