Client: Templeborough Biomass Power Plant
The Challenge
Templeborough Biomass Power Plant required a full site access upgrade that went beyond individual components. The project involved relocating the existing gatehouse while maintaining safe, controlled access to a live operational environment. With civils, structures, pedestrian flow, and security systems all in play, the challenge was to deliver a coordinated solution that maintained site safety, supported daily operations, and ensured full accountability of personnel on site at all times.
The Solution
DJ Byers delivered a fully coordinated, turnkey solution from the ground up. This included the complete relocation of the gatehouse with new foundations and supporting infrastructure, alongside finishing details such as base cladding. The project also introduced a secure pedestrian access solution, incorporating turnstiles and integrated access control, enabling controlled entry and exit while supporting fire roll call, on-site accountability, and compliance. Every element was designed and delivered as one unified system, ensuring the installation worked seamlessly both during the build and once operational.
The Result
The site now benefits from a streamlined, fully integrated access point that improves how people move safely and securely through the facility. With enhanced control over pedestrian access and clear visibility of who is on site at any given time, the system supports both day-to-day operations and critical safety procedures. Delivered as one cohesive solution, the result is reduced disruption, improved compliance, and a reliable infrastructure built to perform consistently in a demanding environment.
