ACCESS

ANPR ACCESS

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Access Control is a powerful solution that combines security and convenience at the entrance points of your site.

ANPR cameras are specialised surveillance cameras designed to capture and interpret license plate information on vehicles.

By employing a specialised camera, the ANPR system can detect and capture the car registration numbers of vehicles approaching the various access points across your premises.

This information is then cross-referenced in real-time with a live database containing authorised vehicle details to determine whether access or egress should be granted.

If access is granted, the ANPR system can then autonomously open gates, lower bollards or lift barriers.

How do ANPR Cameras Work?

ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras are specialised surveillance cameras designed to capture and interpret license plate information on vehicles. These systems are widely used for various applications, including traffic management, law enforcement, and parking management.

ANPR cameras are equipped with high-resolution sensors capable of capturing clear images, even in challenging lighting conditions. The cameras are strategically positioned along roadways, at toll booths, in parking lots, or at other locations where they can capture the license plates of passing vehicles.

The captured images go through a pre-processing stage to enhance the quality of the license plate information. This may involve adjusting the contrast, brightness, and sharpness of the image to ensure that the characters on the license plate are clear and legible.

Once the license plate region is identified, the system needs to segment individual characters on the plate.

Our technology

ANPR System Technology

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology is employed to interpret the segmented characters on the license plate.

The recognised license plate data is typically compared against databases to check for matches or violations. Verified data, along with a timestamp and location information, may be stored for further analysis or record-keeping.

If the ANPR system is integrated with other systems (such as law enforcement databases or toll collection systems), it can trigger predefined actions based on the results. For example, it may generate alerts for stolen vehicles, issue toll invoices, or record entry/exit times in parking facilities.

ANPR technology has proven to be valuable in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of various applications, providing a powerful tool for tasks like traffic monitoring, law enforcement, and access control.
